Delete your puzil account
You have the right to delete your puzil account and all associated data at any time. This page explains the two ways to request deletion.
What gets deleted
When we process a deletion request, we permanently remove:
- Your account (email, display name, sign-in credentials)
- Your puzzle completions and league points
- Your friendships and friend requests
- Your battle history
- Any referral records tied to your account
- Any location, push notification, and profile data you provided
This action is permanent and cannot be undone.
Option 1 — From inside the puzil app (fastest)
- Open the puzil app and sign in
- Tap the Profile tab
- Scroll to Account → tap Delete account
- Confirm — your default mail app opens with the deletion request pre-filled. Send it.
- We'll confirm receipt by email and complete the deletion within 30 days.
Option 2 — Email us directly
If you can't sign into the app (for example, you've lost access), just email us.
Send a message to
hello@puzil.io
with the subject Delete my puzil account and include:
- The email address your puzil account is registered under
- Your display name (as shown on the leaderboard)
Emailing from the account's email address helps us verify it's really you. If you email from a different address, we may ask you a few security questions before proceeding.
How long it takes
We aim to process account deletion requests within 30 days of receipt. You'll receive a confirmation email once your account and data have been removed.
What we might keep
A very small amount of information may be retained for legal, security, or audit purposes — for example, records that we processed a deletion request. This is standard practice under GDPR and cannot be linked back to you personally. Anything not required by law is removed.
